On Friday, June 13, 2025, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation for Osceola and Palo Alto Counties in response to severe weather that occurred on June 11, 2025. Insurers are required to allow a grace period for premium payment and allow policyholders coverage to remain in effect despite late or nonpayment of premiums. This is not a waiver; it is only an extension or grace period for insureds directly impacted by severe weather to pay premiums through July 13, 2025.

Maryland – May 15, 2025, Maryland Governor Wes Moore issued Executive Order 01.01.2025.12 declaring a State of Emergency for Allegany and Garrett Counties. Insurers are required to provide a 60-day grace period for premium payments which allows policyholders’ coverage to remain in effect despite late or nonpayment of premiums for any insured who resides in Allegany or Garrett County. The grace period is in effect from May 13, 2025- July 15th, 2025.
